One thing is clear. The contemporary artist can do without their manual skills, giving as much or even more importance to intellectual work and social capital than to the artistic object itself. So, what does an artist do? "Artefacto" seeks to answer this question by examining the activities of a working-class artist like Catalan Martí Anson. But there's more: it aims for an equal conversation between the artist and the filmmaker, and the film's grammar takes all the necessary liberties to speak the same language as the artist
